With no game for two weeks and a natural lull in the news coming out of the club now prior to the build up to the Blaydon game, I thought I’d post something a little different. Apologies to those who might be reading this and living away from Coventry and therefore unable to see the players regularly…this post probably isn’t for you.
Back to normal tomorrow…
You think you know the squad pretty well by now…?
Then have a go at this…just put a name to the eyes.
If you’re like me and myopic with a terrible memory for placing names to faces, the quiz below might prove fairly difficult.
I know that I would struggle with a few of these…the vast majority are players in the current squad, although included are 4 photos of individuals who are part of the coaching or management structure.
Just to make it even harder, some of the photos aren’t crystal clear (photos taken using the zoom aren’t as clear when cropped and enlarged).
I’ll post the answers in a couple of days time to allow time for those reading the post tomorrow to give it a go. I reckon a score of 24+ is a pretty decent effort!
By all means leave a comment with answers if you want others to fill in the gaps…

No…not Sam Smith…lol…close in some ways though…answers tomorrow!
So is number 6 Sam Smith? I feel like I know some of the others, just don’t know their names!
Hi Becky…20 correct which is very impressive! You only got one wrong – which is no 17 which should help anyone else who’s having a go…
Definitely deserve a gold star…
Okay, here is my attempt. I have no clue about some of them though!
1. Pete Weightman 2. – 3. Courtney Roberts 4. Matt Jones (?) 5. – 6. – 7. Matt Price 8. Scott Hamilton 9. Cliffie Hodgson 10. Tom Poole 11. Andy Brown 12. Rob Knox 13. Phil Maynard 14. Dan Rundle 15. Dan Carpo (?) 16. George Oliver 17. Sam Smith (?) 18. – 19. Wayne Evans (only managed to get that from your profile pic, Tim!) 20. Adam Parkins 21. Chad Thorne 22. Callum Macburnie 23. Sam Pailor 24, – 25. Devlin 26. – 27. Tom Preece 28. – 29. – 30. Scott Morgan.
I think it kind of helps if you live away from Cov like me and rely on photos of the games, as I was able to (hopefully!) get some of them from pictures that I remembered!
