On the first day of Christmas, you voted for…?

A very merry Christmas and a happy New Year to everyone involved in the Coventry RFC – players, coaches, backroom staff, the Board and, of course, the supporters.

I’d also like to thank everyone who has read the blog over the last 4 months and especially those who have added their own comments, something I hope more people will consider doing in the new year.

It hasn’t been the best of seasons so far on the pitch, or off it for that matter. However, with the managerial shuffle only recently in place and a couple of key players coming back from injury soon, hopefully we’ll see  Cov beginning to play with renewed confidence, results start to pick up and the crowds return to the Butts.

I remain optimistic.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As promised, the first result from the ‘Coventry’s Most Valuable Player’ poll starts today
And on this,  the 1st day of Christmas, and in 12th place overall from a total of just 7 starts, you votes for:
peter
Peter Weightman
Well done, Peter.
Despite all the apparent concerns coming out of the club about the recruitment this season, the supporters certainly have shown their faith in you.
And rightly so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tomorrow we move on to 11th place in the poll.

Have a fantastic day and, for those of you who are able to, enjoy some precious time with your families and friends. Everything else comes a poor second…

…even Coventry.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And finally, this from Becky Gregory…many thanks for the offer, Becky, which you can see I’ve taken you up on!
A great way to wish everyone a happy Christmas.
Looks fabulous…if anybody else has something that they think is appropriate, please do forward it.
The more contributors the better…happy to add ‘guest’ posts from supporters, too (thinking out loud there).
Off to wind up the grandchildren…
    • Hope the meal when well…am now feeling as stuffed as the turkey was. Everyone’s moved on their separate ways leaving lots of peace and a fair bit of goodwill.
  4. Happy Christmas Tim and to all fellow readers. I just watched the Youtube clip whilst listening to my wife’s new Elvis CD. Bridge Over Troubled Water was playing… is that a good or bad omen?
    • Definitely a good omen, Rob…maybe a sing that we’re going to cross from the dark side, back to the good, Star Wars-style.
      Have a great day…like you, I can’t way for ‘Coventry 2 – The Return of the Dog’; opening at the Butts on January 2nd.
